About Jenna's Gallery

Copperstain Summit.jpg

Hello! I am a young, self-taught landscape painter from the Diamond Valley area. My work melds the precision and technicality of realism with the edge control and soft light of impressionism. Most of my paintings have subtle, yet evocative colours and harmonious compositions. My preferred mediums are oil and acrylic, but I also dabble in watercolour, chalk pastel, charcoal, and graphite. I have taught several art courses at the Sheep Creek Arts Council. In 2023, Wendy Wacko, founder of the largest commercial art gallery in western Canada, recommended me for an artist-in-residence placement at Purcell Mountain Lodge, where I was flown in by helicopter to paint outside in a pristine alpine meadow. I was invited back to the lodge for art week in 2024. Years of hiking and photographing numerous parks and preserves in western Canada and the United States have given me a deep appreciation for the diversity and natural beauty of our part of the world. I strive to preserve some portion of this rich heritage through paint. My passion for preservation has also led me to pursue a BASc in Ecosystem Management. As I learn more about current ecological issues, I become increasingly motivated to use my art to inspire the next generation of conservationists. You can find many of my paintings for sale at:
